How do I pierce my ear lobe with a sewing needle

Yeah.
I've tried it, it wo not ever work.
I have my left side done and gauged to a 12 but my other side isnt even pierced, ive pierced it twice with a sewing needle while I had a 22g stud, it is not gonna budge, the needle is not thick enough, plus you risk infection.
Just pay for a healhy piercing, a prof. needle is preffered but if you absoulety cant afford it use a gun, but guns arnt good for ANYTHING else, only lobes, not even those either.

they will pierce your ears for free and you just have to pay for earrings
plus they are professional and really clean

thats really bad- i wouldnt advise doing that, especially by yourself. first of all, it would hurt a lot more than when a pro does it. the hole could also get infected and they might have to chop off your whole ear! do not do that, please.

Its going to cost you a lot more to go to the dr for medication for your infection. Dont be so stupid and cheap. All you have to do is pay 15 dollars for earrings and they do it free at claires.

get it done professionally. its much safer. i got a second hole on both ears about a year ago. i got it at claires because they pierce it for free but u have to pay for the earrings. its really sanitary and it doesnt hurt that much. its definitely worth it.

Piercing ur ear should be used as a last resort. Home piercing is difficult to do properly & u would be better off seeking the aid of a professional. Please think about ur choice carefully before u proceed. If you'd like, get an ice pack, & place it on ur ear for about 30-40 seconds (or until it feels numb). This step is optional & u can skip it if u like. Get a real piercing needle or a safety pin. Do NOT use a sewing needle. If the needle did not come in a sterile package, sterilize the needle with an open flame. Then put 10%+ rubbing alcohol on the needle. Be sure to remove any soot or detrius. Be forewarned, this will only be a partial sterilization & will not kill all microbes. Watch ur hands. This will decrease any chance of bacteria of spreading. Put on sterile latex gloves, if possible. Clean ur earring, & ur ear with either 70%+ alcohol or iodine. As mentioned before, this will only be a partial sterilization. Put something sturdy on the back of ur ear like a piercing cork. This is so when u push the needle in, u have something to push against, rather than tugging the skin. Stick the piercing needle smoothly through ur ear until all the way through. Wiggle the needle, keep it bent. Leave whatever u chose in for at least 5 minutes with ice & something to wipe the little bits of blood off with. Remove the piercing tool. If u used ice in the above step ur ear should be numb & u can now slowly remove the needle from ur ear. Put the earring through the hole & then the backing right after u wipe up the blood. well i would never want to do piecrcings on my own do to sanitaion factors and on top of that professionals can seem to get them more even. But all you have to do is draw a dot on where u want it at and shove the needle through, then place a earing in. If you are seriously going to use a sewing needle i would say take a lighter to it and get it flaming hot to kill any bacteria before using. goodluck

the way i did it was to just ram the needle through and take it out and put the earing in
then dont change the stud for at least 6 weeks, preferbly 8 coz they take longer to heal

Just spare yourself the troubles and get them done professionally [not w/ a gun] when you can afford it.
