l have a vintage Free-Westinghouse Round Bobbin ALB sewing machine.l lost the electrical cord that connects the machine to the wall plug.Does anyone know where l can find one that suits these machines so that l can use it (l do not mind if it is not the original vintage cord).

Thanks.

Where can I buy the cord that connects an old Free-Westinghouse sewing machine to the wall plug

If I were you I think I would just attach a new cord where the old one is. What have you got to lose. Nothing.

There is a fair chance that a local sewing machine shop can get u a replacement. A good picture of the part that it is supposed to connect to, & some measurements would undoubtedly help if u do not want to drag the machine in.

Otherwise, u might want to talk to Linda at Relics, Ron Anderson at A1 sewing, or the nice folks on the group ''wefixit''.

If the current cord is merely in poor shape rather than AWOL, it is a minor matter to fit a new cord & plug to the bit that actually connects to the machine.
